What are you talking about?

Do you have the expectation that you always need to be doing something?  Or always on the go?  There seems to be that expectation of so many of us.  If you don’t resonate with this statement, congratulations you may be on your way towards achieving balance in your life.

For those of us still learning the lesson, it’s a challenging one to master.  You get time off from work and what do you do but create a mile long to do list of everything you’d like to do.  While there are some times where that works to your advantage, but other times you’re teetering on the edge of burn out and might be better served by reading a book or binge watching television.

Relaxation time isn’t something that most of us incorporate into our busy lives and why not?  We’ve been trained not to.  You’ve been taught to always be on the go.  That peace and quiet is a bad thing, which is exactly the opposite of what it is.  Peace and quiet helps to rejuvenate you.  It can also allow spirit to speak to you.

First thing in the morning just as you’re getting up is a great time to receive messages.  Or even better when you’re taking a shower.  Now what do they have in common?  Most of the time you’re relaxed.  As you plan your schedule for 2021, make sure you spend some time to relax.  If you wake up with a headache, spend some time in solitude.  Don’t push yourself.  We all need more time to relax.

What does 2021 have in store for you?

What does 2021 have waiting for you?  It’s the question that you want to know at the start of a new year, but especially after the challenge that was 2020.

As a student of astrology and numerology, I look to the cosmos for the answer.  Based on numerology, we’re looking at a 5 year (2 + 0 + 2 + 1 + 5).  But what does that mean?  We’re looking at a year of change.  The basic foundations of your life took a tumble in 2020.  You look at the world, so many people are on the verge of being homeless and waiting in line for food assistance.  What does that mean for them or you?  Your story hasn’t been told yet?

If you look at astrology, the planets Jupiter and Saturn told the story in 2020.  For 2021, Saturn and Uranus will be in charge.  You’re going to be looking at creating a new structure for your life.  Again, there’ll be an emphasis on change.  We had some sneak peeks at different points in the year as Jupiter and Saturn both moved into Aquarius and then retrograded back into Capricorn.  We’re finally moving forward.

We’re still at the stage where we can guess what our story will be.  Numerology and astrology can give us an idea of where the changes can happen, but nothing in this world is definite even if it seems fated.  The timing could be off.

You have to trust that the universe is there to support you.  It’s teaching you and guiding you to become the person you’re meant to be.

Your story will further unfold over the months in 2021.  What are you looking at?  Be prepared!  We’re still in the middle of the tale.  We’re on the ride.

Your life isn’t set in stone.  It’s a journey.  There are things for you to learn.  These events each contribute something to your story.

You never could have predicted the path your life would take in 2019 or 2020.  You’re intrigued by what 2021 has in store, but I want to skip to the end of the book and see what it says.  You have to trust that things will work out how they’re supposed to.

Be prepared for what 2021 has in store for you.  Hope you set some intentions on New Year’s, but it’s not too late!  Do them now.

Look for the Miracle

If any year feels like you could use a miracle, it would be 2020.  Christmas is a time for miracles!

Have you ever experienced a miracle?  When the odds are against you, but somehow, some way, things end up ok.

When I was a teenager, I got to witness a Christmas miracle from the sidelines.  At Christmas, my grandparents and great aunt would come to celebrate at our house.  For some reason that year, we were at my grandparents’ home.  Her sister called on Christmas Eve to let us know her daughter’s husband had been taken to the Emergency Room.  My grandmother was hard of hearing, so all her conversations were on speakerphone.  The odds weren’t good.  He only had a 25% chance of surviving an aneurysm.  Somehow, someway, he is still with us.  All the people that needed to be there for him to survive were.

That Christmas has stuck with me for more than 20 years now.  I don’t remember what I received for gifts or what we ate, but I remember the miracle we received.

This year’s Christmas is going to different for a number of reasons.  It won’t make it any less special.  It could be a year that stands out.  A year where you appreciate what’s around you.

We always seem to want what we can’t have.  It’s part of human nature.  This is a time for gratitude, joy, and the unexpected miracles that can come our way.

Miracles wouldn’t be what they are if they happened every day.  The Spirit of Christmas, whether you celebrate it or not, is full of magic. You must look for it, though.

The days are shorter, and it gets dark early, but with the darkness comes Christmas light displays and candles in the window.

If you haven’t decorated yet, it could be for so many reasons.  People are more depressed this time of year.  We miss what isn’t with us, but what if it is?  Magic and miracles are all around you.  No matter what your feels are during this season.  Maybe this year, everything changes for the better.  You don’t know if you aren’t looking.

Look for the miracles.   They aren’t always what they seem.  But they are there. Let’s end the year on a positive note.

What miracles have you witnessed?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Time to Count Your Blessings

It can be challenging to even think of being thankful or counting your blessings when it appears there’s so much wrong in life. 2020 has made it difficult for even the most optimistic to find a silver lining.  There is one, but you have to look harder.

What have your lessons been this year?  Would you have found them if COVID hadn’t happened?  Each one of you wants the world to go back to “normal”.  But what does that mean?  With the holiday season upon us, it’s more important than ever to find that sense of magic.

It could be that you rely on some sense of tradition.  Decorating the house.  Being appreciative of the people around you every day.

You can dig deeper.  Maybe you have found what’s truly important.  You’ve learned something about yourself that you wouldn’t have in some other way.

I have learned a lot about myself.  There was a point in time that I disliked any change whatsoever.  There’s still a piece of that attitude there at times.  Other times I can roll with it and ask what does Spirit have in store for me?  Like most of you, I don’t care for wearing a mask, but if it keeps me and those I care about safe I will continue for as long as necessary.  But thanks to COVID, I have learned what’s true about my own energy and how that is seen by those around me.  I have learned what I truly value and am in the process of aligning my life with those values.  I don’t think I would have seen either of these without COVID.

The beginning of the year gave me the freedom to finish my empowerment certification program.  I was also able to concentrate on expanding my knowledge of astrology.  Still working on this and I think I always will be, but I’m ok with that.  I’m starting to read charts for my family and friends, something that I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do a year ago.

To move forward this practice is essential.  It can be hard to reflect, but it’s necessary.  Take the time to figure out your lessons.  They are so important to what 2021 has in store for you.

Hope & Faith

Hope is what leads you to make those challenging and sometimes difficult changes.  It’s what makes you strive for a better life.  It’s what makes you work through your triggers to get to your dreams.

The last few months have challenged hope to what may seem like the breaking point.  I just want things to be the way they were!  I want things to be normal!  Trying to balance the line between what is and what could be, can lead you to topple to the ground.

I hate to say this, but 2020 isn’t done with us yet.  We’re in a period of time that doesn’t happen often.  Thank goodness!  Could even be a once in a lifetime event.  But maybe not.  Either way we’re being forced to work on our issues.  Sometimes hope has taken a backseat.

In the coming months, you will need hope and faith more than ever.  The challenges and frustrations aren’t quite ready to go away.  You haven’t learned what you need to learn quite yet.

Oh, but haven’t I been through enough?  Unfortunately, the answer is no.  You are meant to step up.  You’re meant to make a difference.  There is so much more out there for you.  It’s time to tap into your hopes and dreams.  There may be times where all seems lost, and there could be more of those days to come.

Never lose hope!  It’s the thing that keeps you going.  It’s what will one day get you over the threshold and walk into your dreams.  Hope is everything, even when all seems lost.

What do you hope for?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Plant the Seed

You’re headed into the next chapter in your life.  What do you want it to look like?

It’s time to plan.  You don’t need to have all of the answers.  Even brainstorming ideas on to paper is a step in that direction.

If you find yourself getting angry and frustrated, where is it happening?  Maybe you need to reset your boundaries.

If you find yourself having especially vivid dreams or even just more dreams than usual, write them down.  Start a dream journal.  They might be telling you something.

Are you seeing signs and synchronicities?  Maybe you’re in alignment with your path and it’s time to start expanding your vision.

Planting seeds in your life can take many different forms.  When you plant seeds in your garden, you must water it and care for it after it’s been placed in the ground.  You must do the same thing with your dreams for this next chapter.

You can be a person who stands in their truth and is empowered by their life.  You can do this.  Your life can be what you’ve always wanted it to be.  Think outside the box.

Frustrations can tell us where we’re off course.  I’ve had a few of them recently.  In my case, I’m doing too much.  I know it and so do those around me.  I need to cut down what I’m doing on a regular basis.  Easier said than done though.  Can I delegate tasks to someone else?  Is it temporary?  Are any of my tasks something that I can just check off a list once they’re completed?  The answers are all yes.  These are mainly short-term issues.

What about my long-term vision?  What do I want my life to look like?  I’m sure you have ideas for your own life.  Write them down.  Then start to cultivate them and care for them.  You’ll be amazed at what you come up with.

What do you want the next chapter of your life to look like?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Hey! It’s Dark in Here!

Does it ever feel to you like there is a battle of the light and the dark?  Were you ever scared of the dark as a child?  As adults, we’re often scared of the darkness that surrounds us, but the key to the darkness is to shine a light on it.

Shining a light on the darkness can be terrifying.  Who wants to look at something dark and negative?  But when you do, it loses its power.  You don’t want to explore your shame, your guilt, your grief, or your fears because of what it could tell you.  It’s hard to go to those dark places and reveal the parts of ourselves that we never want to be seen.  But you know that if you don’t, the darkness wins!  The only way to defeat the dark is to speak it aloud.  When you do, it slowly loses its power.

You want to have things like love and joy in your life, right?  You don’t want to be swamped by the darkest feelings that we can experience as human beings.

If given the choice, choose the light.  If you’re in the dark, find a way out.  Empowerment is all about finding a way out of the dark into the light.

You might believe that darkness is all around us and that may seem to be the case, but it doesn’t have to be.  You can be a beacon of light shining for the rest of the world to see.

You can bring your past from the depths to the light where it can have little impact on you anymore.  You don’t have to live in the dark.  You can step into the light.  When it feels like the darkness is getting close again, take action, and step back into the light.

All of this is easier said than done, especially in the beginning.  The first step is always the hardest.  You are here to have an experience and learn something about yourself.  You’re stronger than you think.  You can step into the light.

What darkness do you wish to release from your life?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Lights! Camera! Action!

Have you been holding out on making changes?  It doesn’t have to be because of the Coronavirus, but it could be.  It could be as simple as you’re not sure quite yet what you want to change.

You can always start out with something simple.  Getting yourself back on track.  Maybe your routine has been disrupted.  Let’s be honest.  Whose hasn’t?  Now is a great time to get back on track.

My mind has been wandering a lot to exercise.  I’ve been researching exercise programs.  About 9 years ago, I started an exercise routine and maintained it for about 4 years.  I lost 85 lbs. in the process and felt great!  One day I walked down the hill and twisted my ankle.  I wasn’t able to put pressure on it and I lost my momentum.  Once I was able to stand on it, I didn’t have the same energy for exercise.  I was nervous about reinjuring my ankle.  I tried different routines, but I didn’t have a rhythm anymore.  I pondered doing the same routine but had loaned the DVDs to someone and they were lost.

It's time for me to get back in a rhythm.  I’m just about ready to sign up.  I have most of the logistics worked out in my head and I’m running out of excuses.  It’s time for me to take action!

We all start things with the best of intentions and stop for any number of reasons.  Maybe our timing is off.  Maybe the energy isn’t right.  The question is do you take the leap and go for it.  The energies aren’t going away anytime soon.  If anything, the intensity is only going to go up.  Th energies the last few weeks have been insane.  I don’t know quite yet what they’ll feel like, but we’re about to find out.  The sooner we move, the easier they are to handle.

Where do you need to create movement in your life? Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Becoming You

What if you aren’t who you thought you were?  Unfortunately, traumatic events can make us not want to be hurt again, so we start to hold a part of ourselves back.  We don’t show who we are and allow our authentic self to shine through.

Having spent a good portion of the last 9 years or so working through trauma has now led me to the point of I thought I knew who I was but there’s more.  I was looking at pictures and I found one from about the age of 4 that has always spoken to me.  What is it about that one picture?  I’m starting to think it’s my authentic self speaking to me.  Helping me.  Guiding me back to the person I’m meant to be.

Nothing that I’ve done has been for not.  It has led me to this point.  I could say the same thing to you.  Everything that you’ve done has led you to this point.  The question is what do you do next?  Do you continue to play it safe or step up?  How do you move forward?

Becoming who you were meant to be is challenging.  We can doubt ourselves and not know which way to go.  So what do we do?  There are variations for each of us.  I tend to take the big picture and break it down into small pieces.  You may jump right in.  Neither one is right nor wrong.  It’s all about who we are.

All these energies are forcing us to review our story.  Who have we been and who do we want to become?  Who are we?  What do we value?  Does our day-to-day life demonstrate what we value?  Maybe you’re reviewing this list of questions and decide that you’re good.  That’s great!  You’ve probably done a lot of work on yourself to reach that place, but what if you’re not?  Becoming the person you’re meant to be can present it’s own challenges, but when you finally know who you are, there’s nothing better.

Who do you want to be? Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Time for Adjustments?

We’re on a journey in life.  No matter how much we want things to stay the same, they don’t.  There are some things we want so badly in life, we can taste it, but it doesn’t happen the way we think it will or think it should. The people we think will stay a part of our lives forever leave, for any number of reasons.  We want to know when things will change for the better, but maybe we aren’t meant to know.

We want to know the answers to life's biggest questions and we just don’t know.  If 2020 has shown us anything so far, it is to expect the unexpected. But it also reveals where we still need to work on our lives.

Right now, nothing is what we think it should be.  We are in a huge period change personally and globally.  We’re about to see a new snapshot of what 2020 has in store for us.  More of the picture is being revealed.  We have the second eclipse plus the solstice.  Also, we have 5 planets in retrograde (Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto) with another one about to go retrograde (Neptune).  That’s a lot of retrograde energy.  During retrogrades we’re meant to review, revise and reexamine our lives.  What’s our vision?  Does our life meet our vision?  Where are we off course?  What can we do to adjust? It’s time for adjustments.

I’ve been playing around with astrology for several years now and during quarantine I’ve been working on learning to read charts.  It’s a process!  But it’s a path that I’m meant to follow. I’ve always been fascinated by horoscopes and how we can take natal charts to learn something about ourselves.  Learning about my natal chart has helped me to accept parts of myself that I thought were wrong, or others thought were different than they should be.

This retrograde is another period for me to examine my life.  Where did I steer off course?  I can think of a few things.  I’m sure you can as well.  How do I adjust?  With my study of astrology, it’s time to take a new examination and pick up where I last left off while I completed my coaching certification.  Continue what I had started and put aside.  I can think of other things, but those are stories for a future time.

Use the power of the energies we’re in right now and make adjustments to fit your vision.

What adjustments do you need to make?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.
