Dreams vs. Illusions

What are you dreaming about right now?  Are you seeing it clearly or is it a little bit foggy and out of focus?  It may be hard to tell this week with the Sun in Sagittarius squaring Neptune in Pisces on December 14 at 12:10 p.m.

Sagittarius is the sign of enthusiasm, hope, and optimism, but can also be the sign of being frank, outspoken, and exaggeration.  Pisces is the sign of compassion, mysticism, and spirituality, but can also be the sign of illusions, escapism, and deception.  Those two signs are creating conflict this week.

If you are able to take the struggle of last week and look beyond the illusion and frustration, you may start to see the bigger picture of what you want.  Squares are an opportunity to show you what you truly want.  You don’t discover what you want when everything in your life is going perfectly.  You tend to find out what is important to you when life isn’t going your way.  It’s human nature to want what you don’t have and to overlook what you do.

You may feel overly optimistic and that you can solve anything.  If you decide to explore, remember to take it slow and examine whether it is something that you truly want or you just think you want.  The old adage of being careful what you wish for could be an issue right now.  Think about it.  Sleep on it.  Don’t act impulsively.  If you do act impulsively, you could either regret your actions or have to make another decision later.  Mars is still retrograde in Gemini.  There’s a good possibility of having to take action twice.

Dreams are an important part of life.  Just make sure that you really want it, before you go after it.

Helping Hand

The world can change overnight.  You may think you know your life's direction and then something happens.  Something that you knew might happen but didn’t see coming.  It’s always nice in those moments to have someone beside you holding your hand.

The Venusian energy of Libra is being felt.  Even though Mercury has retrograded back into the sign of Virgo, Venus herself is moving into the sign of Libra on September 29 at 3:49 am.  The Sun in Libra and Venus in Libra are also making their presence known in Opposition to Jupiter in Aries.  The Sun Opposes Jupiter in Aries on September 26 at 3:33 pm and Venus in Libra Opposes Jupiter in Aries on October 1 at 2:12 pm.

What is important?  Is it the relationship to others or to the self?  You can’t do it all alone.  For some, it may seem like it’s all about the self.  Aries is the I AM.  Who are you?  But Libra is the other.  You cannot exist in life as a solitary being.  Sometimes you have to reach out.  This is one of those times.  Whether it’s to ask for yourself or to give help to others, or both.  Life means more with relationships in it. Who do you want to be?  How do you want to be known?  With these oppositions, we’re being nudged to remember the boundary between the two.  You can help others without giving up who you are.  You can be yourself without having to separate yourself from the world.

When you have the opportunity, it’s important to lend a hand.  The world needs more kindness.  Each one of us needs a little help now and then.  Accept it and give it when you can.

How can you give or receive help? Let me know.  Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Time for Balance

The Sun will be entering the sign of Libra on September 22 at 9:04 pm.  It’s time to reflect inwards and find balance as the seasons change.

The Autumn Equinox falls on the day when the Sun moves into Libra.  It is also the point where sunrise and sunset are separated by exactly 12 hours.  Daylight will start to decrease and you will begin preparing for the winter months here in the northern hemisphere.  In times past, it was a time to reflect on the harvest and what you had accomplished.  What did you still need to do before the cold set in?  Your perspective is about to change.  It will no longer be a time of planting and harvesting, but hibernating.  Animals still do it today.  You would determine what you needed to survive during the winter.  You spent the majority of the year preparing for this upcoming season.  You still have time to prepare.

Times have changed.  Our food source no longer follows the same models that it once did, but these ancient systems can provide you with clues for what you will begin to experience. A time for reflection.  What do you still need to modify so that you can bring more balance into your life?  Libra is all about relationships as well.  Are your relationships in balance?  What can you do to bring more peace, love, and harmony into your world?   The time to explore the darkness of the winter months is coming, but for now, you still have time to initiate changes and modify what you’ve been working on.  What do you still need to do to accomplish your goals?

Mercury is still going retrograde in Libra.  Mercury in Libra will be opposing Jupiter in Aries on September 18 at 6:34 pm and will be Conjunct the Sun in Libra on September 23 at 2:50 am, a few hours after the Sun moves into Libra.  Venusian values will take center stage and ask us to look at what we love.  Do you love the direction that you’re headed in?  If not, this is the time to learn a new perspective and possibly make a change.

You need balance in order to move forward in life.  Life can’t be all work, no play, or all play and no work.  There are two sides to every coin.  If your life is too skewed in one direction, this is the time to right the ship and find balance.

Make Sure To Think

Make sure to think before you act this week, especially on September 2, when Mercury in Libra Opposes Jupiter in Aries at 6;49 pm.

Mercury in Libra would rather not make a decision and Jupiter in Aries has a tendency to act impulsively and think about the consequences later on.  Because of these placements, it’s even more important than normal to take some time before responding.

There’s a tendency in the world today to act first and ask questions later, but what if this is one of those times where you should do the opposite?  The world around you is changing and you are meant to change with it.  Maybe the way that you think and act is meant to change along with it.  This point of Mercury in Libra, will be revisited 2 more times over the coming weeks because Mercury is going retrograde on September 9.  Are you noticing any issues that are coming to the surface?  This could be part of your Mercury retrograde story this season.

Your stories provide you with clues about what you’re meant to be working on right now.  There’s your own personal story in addition to the collective communities’ story.  Those two stories may tie closely together or they could be completely different, but if you look at the world around you, you may see that people have a tendency to act impulsively, especially on social media.  People will comment with whatever comes into their head whether or not they have all the facts.

Thinking about something before reacting doesn’t make you weak, it’s part of what helps you to become a more enlightened person.  To see whether what someone else is saying has any truth or is it triggering you in the moment?  Why is what that person is saying triggering you?  Can you do anything to change the story?  Make sure that you think before responding this week, it could save you from having some major headaches later.

What story is rising to the surface that you need to think about?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Why Isn’t It Happening?

You’ve probably been working on getting some clarity and trying to determine what path you’re going to take forward.  You may quit your job and start down a new path, but things don’t seem to be turning out quite the way you expected.  On July 26 at 2:13 am Mercury in Leo is going to be square Mars in Taurus and your impatience is going to begin to show if it hasn’t already.

You have created a timetable and a picture in your head.  This is what should happen and this is when it will happen.  The universe doesn’t work that way.  You can follow all of the signs and still want to know what is happening?  It’s incredibly frustrating, but it’s also revealing something.  The reveal, when it happens, will take you in an unexpected direction.

Be careful of the words that are spoken during this time.  They can be made impulsively and may only show part of the picture, but words once said can’t be taken back.  These words could create some controversy as a result.

Mercury is going to square Uranus in Taurus a few days later on July 28 at 5:16 pm.  Mercury is ready to start scheming and Uranus in Taurus is looking to cause some drama and is reaching the point where it may just want to start over and burn it all to the ground.  Uranus is looking to create something unexpected and it may just come out of those ashes.

It’s going to be a fast-paced week with some twists and turns.  Fire and Earth don’t get along particularly well, so pay attention.  Brace yourself for the ride.  It could be an enlightening one.

The Feminine Warrior

Happy Independence Day!  It may not feel like there’s a whole lot to celebrate as a nation.  Our rights as women have been taken away and there are people out there who would like to take more of our rights.

It’s easy to get trapped in the negative, but it’s important to not remain there and realize that women still have power.  Females in the past have fought this same fight before and have made progress.  It can be done again.

The Sun in Cancer can be representative of the feminine.  It’s a nurturing and caring energy and on July 8 at 9:23 am it is Square Chiron in Aries.  Chiron is known as the Wounded Healer and it’s in the sign of Aries, the warrior.

There’s an opportunity here.  The battle isn’t going to be won overnight, but it can and will be fought.  There’s an opportunity for women to empower themselves.

As women, we have been shamed and made to feel guilty for making decisions that are right for us.  Why?  Because they may not be right for the masculine.  Women and their role in society for centuries had been reduced to the role of caretakers.  While that may be one part of being a woman, that isn’t all that we are.  The patriarchy has put us made us “second-class” citizens for centuries.  The time for the feminine to put herself on equal ground is now.

It's time to fight.  How do we fight?  It hasn’t been entirely revealed quite yet, but one way is to vote.  Women died for us to have the right to vote and it’s time to use it.  As a country, the United States is in its Pluto Return.  The United States’ Pluto is in Capricorn.  Capricorn is the structure.  At that time, women were the property of men and it shows in the founding documentation of our country.  And it’s not just women that were property, but people of other races.  The United States founding documentation represents rich white men.

The United States is not composed of entirely rich white men.  The United States is composed of women and men from all regions of the world and it’s time that our laws reflect that.  With the U.S.’s Pluto Return we have an opportunity to change course.  To make sure that we are heard and have a role in society that is representative of who women really are.  Women do not have to feel shame or guilt for being who they are any longer.  We can become a Feminine Warrior and have power over the things in life that are important to us. It’s time to get battle-ready!

What can you do to become a feminine warrior? Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Time For Yourself

It’s time for big shifts this coming week.   The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21, the longest day of the year and the official beginning of summer, plus the Sun moves into the sign of Cancer at 5:14 am EST.

Around the world, rituals are still performed to welcome the Summer Solstice.  These rituals are meant to thank the sun for its continuing to bring light and to request continued abundance.

Cancer season represents a time of nurturing and sensitivity.  It’s the time of year when you might take time off and maybe even do something for yourself and not just go go go.  School is out for the summer and there’s some time for flexibility in your schedule.

Venus will enter Gemini the next day on June 22 at 8:34 pm EST.  She will move out of a sign that she rules into one that is all about communication and being social.  Maybe it’s time for spending some time with your loved ones, friends and family.

A good question to ask yourself this Cancer season, is what can you do for yourself?  It’s so easy to focus all your attention on the people around you and lose track of what you need.  Cancer is also known to sacrifice itself for the needs of others.  Don’t lose yourself in the process.  It’s way too easy to let that happen.

Venus in Gemini can be inquisitive and searching.  If you’re looking to change things up, this can be a great time.  Cancer is willing to start something new and Gemini is adaptable.  You can take all the secrets that have been revealed and start to implement some inner growth.

What are you looking to nurture? Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Fight the Good Fight

We’re still in Eclipse season. It’s already been a doozy energy wise and it’s about to get cranked up another notch.  On May 10, Jupiter will move out of the dreamy-drifty sign of Pisces into the sign of Aries, the warrior.  Also on May 10, Mercury will begin its retrograde period until June 3.

Jupiter in Aries is full of energy, it’s idealistic and impulsive, but it can also be arrogant.  Jupiter wants us to expand into the unknown, look beyond what’s comfortable and learn something new.  This is a great time to tap into Jupiter’s love of higher learning.

Mercury in Gemini is a quick, trickster energy that is telling secrets.  Retrogrades want you to look back at any issues from the past.  Review what’s happened.  Did it happen the way that it was supposed to?  Could you do something different?  Retrogrades aren’t typically the time to begin the change, but to examine what could you do to move forward.

It’s quite the energetic hotbed that we’re in.  You may be presented with an issue that thought you already dealt with and realize that you only dealt with one piece of it, or you just thought you did.  Our shadows are presented in cycles.  Just one layer is gone, the next pops to the surface to be faced.  Healing work is never done.

The second eclipse of the season arrives on May 16 and you’re being pushed to realize what doesn’t work for you any longer.  Are you ready to let it go?  The North Node in Taurus wants you to learn new things and grow.  With the Sun still being in Taurus, you’re being provided with some stability as you start to fight the fight.  The question with Jupiter in Aries is what type of warrior are you?  The type that does it with honor or one that’s hot headed.  It may not always seem like you have a choice, but you do.

It can be easy to feel the heat of the moment and act impulsively but take a deep breath before taking action.  What is your ultimate goal?  Act from that place when at all possible.

What are you fighting for?    Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Venus In Reverse

Venus, the planet of love and beauty, went retrograde on December 21, 2021, in the sign of Capricorn, where it remains in retrograde until January 29, 2022. What does that mean?

You’re being asked to revisit the past.  What have you learned about love? Capricorn represents your structure or foundation. What are your feelings of love based on? Depending upon whether you use the mean or the true node, the North Node is switching from Gemini to Taurus and the South Node from Sagittarius to Scorpio, which asks what wounds are rising for the surface for you to release.

Wounds are challenging. They can sneak up on you just when you think you’ve let them go.  I’ve been working on releasing emotional baggage for a few years now, just when I think I’m getting there, another layer rises to the surface.  I’ve been thinking about love and what it means to me now and what it has meant to me in the past.  I grew up with a lot of friends and family who I knew loved me, but an event with someone who I thought was my friend began to change what I had thought about love. Suddenly love brought pain and hurt.  As an 11-year-old, I couldn’t process what that meant.  I had trouble trusting myself. I had thought this person was my friend. How could I have been so wrong? I had trouble trusting others. Did they have ulterior motives? Were they out to get something from me? Once they got it, would they be gone?

It took time to put the pieces together and start to move forward. For years I lived in the pain and didn’t know how to begin.  As I approached my 30th birthday, I knew my life wasn’t what I wanted it to be.  I found Reiki. I started to heal. I started to find friends who met me on a new level. I started to open up, but along the way, I encountered betrayal again.

I reacted differently this time. I stopped trusting that one person instead of everyone, but I found this wound was still keeping me from moving forward.  I need to do some work. Wounds work in layers. There are layers to peel away.

What wound do you need to clear right now?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What’s Rising to the Surface?

What emotions have been coming to the surface for you? Are you angry or sad or don’t know quite what to think?  The same thing keeps happening. It’s eclipse season and anything is possible.

The nodal axis is the process of switching from Gemini – Sagittarius to Taurus - Scorpio, from mutable to fixed. If you know your birth time, it’s a perfect time to see where Taurus and Scorpio lie in your chart.  What might be coming up for you? I’m a Gemini Rising, so Scorpio is in my 6th house (the house of daily life and health) and Taurus is in my 12th house (the house of hidden things).  The houses contain more than just this, but for simplicity purposes, we will keep it basic. Before the eclipses even start, you can start to see things shifting. My life is shifting from a focus on me (1st house) and my relationships (7th house) to what’s hidden (12th house) and my daily life (6th house).

There are things from my past that I have kept hidden or didn’t know about that are starting to come up.  What has been keeping me blocked from moving forward? Where do I want to go and what is stopping me? My fears have always played the biggest role in stopping me. From the time I was a child, the dark and mysterious (Scorpio Sun) have fascinated me but stepping outside of my comfort zone and putting my trust in other people has held me back. There were a number of people that let me down and unfortunately for myself, I paid more attention to what they said to me than the people who showed me that they loved me and cared about me. For much of my life, I chose fear over love. I was too afraid to put myself out there and go for what I really wanted. In the last few years, I’ve begun to unravel that thread.  I started doing something with my life that I love. Not listening as much to what other people think about what I do, but there’s still more.  I’m having to allow people to get to know the dark and mysterious me.  I have to let people in and get to know me.

Like anything, this isn’t a journey that happens overnight.  It’s a process.  None of us are perfect. Not you and not me. There’s something that we’re all working on.  The question is, are you doing the work or are you allowing your past to control you? My past controlled me for a long time. More time than I would like to admit, but little by little, the past can be let go of. The emotions can be released. One day you can think about the past without breaking down into tears. You can appreciate the moments that make up a part of who you are. There may still be a sense that you wish you had realized it earlier, but it’s ok.  You can change today.
