Which Way Do I Go?

Does it feel like 2021 has been all about making decisions?  It has.  You’re creating a new foundation for your life.  For that new creation to occur decisions must be made.

When you build a house or move into a house, lots of decisions must be made before you get to the finished product.  You’re still in process.  Not only are you in process, but all the outer planets are now retrograde, so decisions that you thought you’d made may come back up for reconsideration.

If you want your life to turn out differently, you must do things differently.  That can be a challenge to come to terms with.  You tend to want things to magically change.  You want your Prince Charming to show up one day and take all your troubles away.  It would be nice, but life isn’t like that.  Life presents you with challenges and difficulties to help you grow and evolve.

Today isn’t meant to be the same as yesterday.  This is your opportunity to reconsider your past.  What has it taught you and how have you reached where you are right now?

If you are the same person at the end of 2021 as you were at the beginning, you’re doing something wrong.  What can you do differently?  It may seem like one small change can’t make a difference, but it could be enough to get the ball rolling.

It often seems like life is all about the result.  This is the dream, and it looks like this when it’s more about how do I reach the dream?  Be careful of being too dependent on the outcome.  You can beat your head against a wall for years, towards a specific outcome that might not happen.  Allow room for manifestation and magic to happen.  Miracles can happen, but you need to loosen up and allow them room.

What do you want your future to look like?  What steps can you take and what does the process look like?  It’s time to start.  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Where Am I Going?

Do you want to know where you’re going?  If you’re headed down the right path?  You’re not alone.  You want to make sure you’re not wasting your time.  That you’re headed in a positive direction.  But that isn’t always possible.

You want an answer to a specific question.  Maybe you consult a psychic, oracle cards, tarot cards, or pendulum.  They all confirmed an intuitive response that you’ve gotten, but nothing’s happened.  It’s not easy to continue to trust the response that you’ve been given.  Days, months, or years could go by before you get a resolution to your question.  It’s beyond frustrating to wait while you get a response, but sometimes it’s necessary.

There may be lessons you need to learn.  Work that needs to be done.  It’s not always a cut-and-dry response.  It may seem simple to you and it may be simple to you, but the universe doesn’t seem to work that way.

There could be the tiniest bit of doubt within you and it’s helping to hold you back from achieving your dreams.  It could be anything you desire: money, relationships, or some other goal.  That tiniest bit of doubt is part of the work you need to do to get the process moving.  The way you think about yourself could be holding you back or the energies aren’t quite aligned.

You may have done everything you’re supposed to do, but someone else hasn’t.  You may have to open your mind to things happening in a slightly different way.

There are no easy answers when it comes to realizing your goals.  But what can you do?  You keep plugging away.  Continue to work on yourself.  Feel confident in your own skin.  Follow your intuition and where it leads you.  Trust that things will happen when and in the way they are meant to.  Be open to what comes your way.  It’s not always in the package we think it might be.

Our life path will shift and change as we’re on our journey.  You could be on your path and you approach a fork in the road.  Neither direction is right nor wrong, it’s just a different approach.

You came here to accomplish great things.  Don’t allow your mind to stop you from walking towards them.

You are on your path right now, what’s the next turn you’re going to make?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What Did You Find Out?

Did you have a realization?  Any epiphany this last week?  If you did, great!   If not, that is ok.  You might not have put the pieces together or there could be another reason altogether.

But let’s speak about when you did have the realization.  Did pieces seem to come together?  Do you know you next steps?  Maybe not quite yet.  It’s a process after all.  Every person is different.  Sometimes you’re drip-fed information.  Other times it just dawns on you.

The bigger question is what do you do with the information?  It depends on what it is.  Maybe you’ve learned something about yourself and how you’ve behaved in the past.  You can take that information and change how you react in the present moment.  Maybe you’ve kept yourself from revealing something in the past, so you work up the courage to reveal it now.  You might not be ready yet, but you’re ready to work on it.  Wherever you choose to start is what’s best for you.

The point is that you make a shift.  You use the epiphany to help you move forward towards the life or wish you desire.  We don’t have realizations to do nothing with them.  We’re meant to make adjustments.  We’re not supposed to have static lives.  Evolution is important to who you are as a person.  It can change your life if you allow it.

Have you been having lots of dreams lately?  Your messages could be coming through your dreams or a song that you hear repeatedly on the radio.  We’re given the information; we don’t always realize what it means.

If you’re still having trouble, talk it out with someone else.  Maybe that conversation will lead you where you’re meant to go.

Use what you’ve found out to take steps towards your goals.  You can achieve them.

What have you realized?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What are you talking about?

Do you have the expectation that you always need to be doing something?  Or always on the go?  There seems to be that expectation of so many of us.  If you don’t resonate with this statement, congratulations you may be on your way towards achieving balance in your life.

For those of us still learning the lesson, it’s a challenging one to master.  You get time off from work and what do you do but create a mile long to do list of everything you’d like to do.  While there are some times where that works to your advantage, but other times you’re teetering on the edge of burn out and might be better served by reading a book or binge watching television.

Relaxation time isn’t something that most of us incorporate into our busy lives and why not?  We’ve been trained not to.  You’ve been taught to always be on the go.  That peace and quiet is a bad thing, which is exactly the opposite of what it is.  Peace and quiet helps to rejuvenate you.  It can also allow spirit to speak to you.

First thing in the morning just as you’re getting up is a great time to receive messages.  Or even better when you’re taking a shower.  Now what do they have in common?  Most of the time you’re relaxed.  As you plan your schedule for 2021, make sure you spend some time to relax.  If you wake up with a headache, spend some time in solitude.  Don’t push yourself.  We all need more time to relax.

What do you do to help you relax?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What does 2021 have in store for you?

What does 2021 have waiting for you?  It’s the question that you want to know at the start of a new year, but especially after the challenge that was 2020.

As a student of astrology and numerology, I look to the cosmos for the answer.  Based on numerology, we’re looking at a 5 year (2 + 0 + 2 + 1 + 5).  But what does that mean?  We’re looking at a year of change.  The basic foundations of your life took a tumble in 2020.  You look at the world, so many people are on the verge of being homeless and waiting in line for food assistance.  What does that mean for them or you?  Your story hasn’t been told yet?

If you look at astrology, the planets Jupiter and Saturn told the story in 2020.  For 2021, Saturn and Uranus will be in charge.  You’re going to be looking at creating a new structure for your life.  Again, there’ll be an emphasis on change.  We had some sneak peeks at different points in the year as Jupiter and Saturn both moved into Aquarius and then retrograded back into Capricorn.  We’re finally moving forward.

We’re still at the stage where we can guess what our story will be.  Numerology and astrology can give us an idea of where the changes can happen, but nothing in this world is definite even if it seems fated.  The timing could be off.

You have to trust that the universe is there to support you.  It’s teaching you and guiding you to become the person you’re meant to be.

Your story will further unfold over the months in 2021.  What are you looking at?  Be prepared!  We’re still in the middle of the tale.  We’re on the ride.

Your life isn’t set in stone.  It’s a journey.  There are things for you to learn.  These events each contribute something to your story.

You never could have predicted the path your life would take in 2019 or 2020.  You’re intrigued by what 2021 has in store, but I want to skip to the end of the book and see what it says.  You have to trust that things will work out how they’re supposed to.

Be prepared for what 2021 has in store for you.  Hope you set some intentions on New Year’s, but it’s not too late!  Do them now.

What do you want 2021 to bring into your life?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Ask For Help?

Asking for help, what is that?  I’m sure you’re a person who considers themselves to be fairly independent.  A person who can do things on their own.  However, there comes a point in time when you have to reach out to someone else to help you.

You’re not meant to walk through life on your own.  You’re supposed to have people accompany you on life’s journey.  You have friends and family.  Some of them would love to help you.

Maybe in the past you’ve asked for help and were turned down.  At that point you decided to go it alone.  Maybe you asked the wrong person or it wasn’t the right time.  It can be hard to say why a person doesn’t come to your aid.  But, there are times when you can be overwhelmed by what others are willing to do for you.  Their generosity will fill your heart to the brim.

Through life’s journey, we’re mean to work together.  Looking at society right now, it may not seem that way, but we have a collective lesson to learn.  One of them is we can’t do it all ourselves.  With daycares and schools closed, there were a lot of parents who need help. Some people have been laid off from their jobs and haven’t been able to collect unemployment benefits.  Those people could use help.  Are you one of those people?  Or maybe you need help in another way.  Maybe your car broke down and you need a ride to work or just need someone to listen.  It could be any number of problems.

Allow someone to help you this week. Help someone else this week.  A little kindness goes a long way especially when we’re feeling overwhelmed by life and want to stay in bed.

How can you help yourself or others this week?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Becoming You

What if you aren’t who you thought you were?  Unfortunately, traumatic events can make us not want to be hurt again, so we start to hold a part of ourselves back.  We don’t show who we are and allow our authentic self to shine through.

Having spent a good portion of the last 9 years or so working through trauma has now led me to the point of I thought I knew who I was but there’s more.  I was looking at pictures and I found one from about the age of 4 that has always spoken to me.  What is it about that one picture?  I’m starting to think it’s my authentic self speaking to me.  Helping me.  Guiding me back to the person I’m meant to be.

Nothing that I’ve done has been for not.  It has led me to this point.  I could say the same thing to you.  Everything that you’ve done has led you to this point.  The question is what do you do next?  Do you continue to play it safe or step up?  How do you move forward?

Becoming who you were meant to be is challenging.  We can doubt ourselves and not know which way to go.  So what do we do?  There are variations for each of us.  I tend to take the big picture and break it down into small pieces.  You may jump right in.  Neither one is right nor wrong.  It’s all about who we are.

All these energies are forcing us to review our story.  Who have we been and who do we want to become?  Who are we?  What do we value?  Does our day-to-day life demonstrate what we value?  Maybe you’re reviewing this list of questions and decide that you’re good.  That’s great!  You’ve probably done a lot of work on yourself to reach that place, but what if you’re not?  Becoming the person you’re meant to be can present it’s own challenges, but when you finally know who you are, there’s nothing better.

Who do you want to be? Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Forgive Yourself

Forgive yourself.  You didn’t know.  This can apply to so many areas of your life.  From trusting someone that you shouldn’t, to not knowing something about yourself.  The truth is . . . you didn’t know.

Part of life is the journey of discovery.  We’re sent here to learn new things.  If we entered this world already knowing everything, it would get boring quickly.  Although a little bit of boredom might be nice sometimes.  Just saying.

We learn new things every single day.  It’s part of our path.  Right now, so many of us are learning a lot and for some of us our entire lives have been tipped upside down.  It’s ok.  You didn’t know.  But here’s the thing about not knowing, it’s ok until you do.  Once you know and you choose to do nothing, that’s now a choice.

I’ve been struggling over the past week with how I proceed with my discoveries about white privilege and finding a way forward. To take action and to help myself and others forgive themselves for not knowing. I would normally have joined a protest but due to the pandemic, it doesn’t feel like that’s the correct choice for me.  If it’s the right choice for you, I applaud you, but remember to try and stay safe.  This isn’t over.  We haven’t learned what we need to yet.

I saw a post on Facebook that our local church was asking people to join around the church for 8 minutes and 46 seconds while the bell rang.  I’m sure most of you are aware at this point of the significance of that amount of time, but just to be sure, it’s the amount of time associated with the death of George Floyd.  I really wanted to join in, but I had to find another way.  I remembered that I could hear the bells from my house.  So as the bells started to ring, I took a knee out on the lawn.  What do I do next?  I’m not sure yet, but I can’t turn back and be blind.  I’m sure more will be revealed to me and you before our time is done, but we have to forgive ourselves for what we didn’t know and find a new way forward.  I’m working on forgiving myself.  It’s up to you to determine how to forgive yourself.

What do you need to forgive yourself for?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

It’s Time to Learn and Listen

These past weeks have taught us a lot about the world, the United States and ourselves.  There’s so much we don’t know; I’m included in this statement.  While scrolling through posts on Facebook, I read something that jumped out from the headlines.  There’s racism in all of us.  The first thing I wanted to do was deny that statement, but the more I pondered it, the more I had to admit there it’s true.

Racism has been present since the time the United States was founded.  Slavery has been a part of this country from the beginning in some form.  We had a Civil War to outlaw slavery, but it never really ended.  The people found ways around it.  We had the Civil Rights Movement, but again people found ways to continue with their beliefs.  Confronting our beliefs is one of the hardest things to do in life.

I grew up in the State of Maine.  To put it simply, there isn’t a lot of diversity.  For the few that were of a different race, they stood out.  This was my limited exposure as a child.  Even now most of the people I come across look like me.  I had never thought about the concept of “white privilege” until recently, which in of itself tells something about my privilege.

I didn’t agree with so many things happening in the United States, but I cried tears of hope when we elected our first black president.  I hoped that things could change.  While there was a portion of the population that was different, there was a portion that wasn’t about to let the old way of life go.

The universe has a way of repeating messages until we can see what we didn’t want to see. Hopefully, we’re starting to receive the message.  I’ve been searching my own soul.  I cried as I watched officers of the law tear gas protestors in our nation’s capital on live television and wondered how did we get to this point.

Our nation has an opportunity to be different, but first we must confront our past.  We have been part of the problem, whether we want to or not.  Racism is present whether we agree with it or not.  But how do we move forward?  I don’t have all of the answers, but two responses that I keep getting are community and listening.

Growing up I lived in a neighborhood, a very small one I’ll admit, but my neighbors knew my name.  I’d walk to school; people would wave and knew who I was.  I knew the names of the police officers.  I knew that if I did something wrong, someone was going to tell my parents.  I still live in this same town and it’s not the same place.  I don’t know all of my neighbor’s names. I don’t know our police by name.  I don’t know the people in our community.

Our communities are no longer part of our joys and sorrows.  We don’t know what people need.  We lost community along the way.  When we know our neighbors and who they are as people, we’re less likely to vilify them based upon our perceptions.  It’s not an easy undertaking but rebuilding the foundation of an entire country isn’t either.

I want to believe that there’s good in everyone.  Some days are harder than others.  I hope that people aren’t beyond redemption.  I hope that we can change the narrative and listen to what our neighbors need.  The best thing I can do right now with my white privilege is to say I don’t know the answers, but I’m ready to learn and to listen.  I don’t know the people in my community, but I’m ready to at least learn your names.  I’m ready to do better.  I’m ready to grow and to know that it’s going to take time.  Growth can be a painful process but there’s something each one of us can learn.

What have you learned or need to learn?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What Is Normal?

According to Merriam-Webster, the word normal means “conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern; according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule or principle.”

We use this word a lot during our everyday lives.  Especially right now.  People want their “normal” way of life.  People are creatures of habit.  We’re not particularly fond of change, unless it’s one of our choosing.  We want things our way.

Growing up I just wanted to be “normal”.  I wanted to be like everyone else.  I hated being different.  I hated that I had to go to occupational therapy and the other kids didn’t.  I spent my life trying to be like everyone else.  It took me 25 years to learn that wasn’t an option.  Every person is different.  There is no normal.   What if I said that especially applies to now?

You can have a normal day.  Even during a pandemic, we are establishing new patterns.  We have new habits, but we can’t go back to what it was.  It’s just not possible.  You can’t unlearn something.  We can’t redo yesterday, it’s in the past.  It’s the same thing with our normal.

Even going back to work, it’s different.  It’s not the same.  We can’t unhear what we’ve heard.  People are still afraid, and they have a right to be.  Even when the curve has started to decrease, people are going to be hesitant.  There’s a possibility of a new normal for each of us.  A new routine, but the old one’s gone.

It's strange how even living during a pandemic, a new normal emerges.  New habits. New routines.  New ways forward.  It’s ok to miss what was.  You can miss the simpler times, but things have changed.  Change happens and it’s meant to.  We’re meant to grow and evolve.  This is part of our evolution.  Let’s grow together!

How has your normal changed?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.
