Mirror, Mirror on The Wall

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?  This is often the way we think of mirrors.  As a way of seeing ourselves as we are, but what if there’s another use of mirrors?

Mirrors in the energy world can be used to bounce energy on to another.  It’s this use that I’m speaking of now.  In the psychological world, this phenomenon is known as projection.

As an example, do you ever complain about someone in your life being a slob?  The idea behind project is that you need to take a closer look at your own cleanliness tendencies.  You could literally be a total slob (hoarder) or you may just need to examine an area of your life.

The areas of our life that we tend to complain most about are the areas that we need to work on. As human beings, we tend to “project” these areas on to those surrounding us, typically to the most significant person in our life.

Another example, does it often feel like you have the same problems with people repeatedly.  It’s another perfect example of projection.  Sometimes you reach a point where you need to look at the common denominator.  No matter how difficult it might be to hear, sometimes you reach a point where you have to accept that it has something to do with you.

To truly grow as a person, you have to work on yourself.  Nobody is perfect.  It’s always easier to moan, complain and blame others for our problems, than to change the obvious.  It takes work and effort, but it’s well worth it to change the problem and dialogue.  It won’t normally change overnight, but yes, it can change.  So, what are you going to do about it?

What are you projecting on to others?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more about what I do?  Click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Plant the Seed

You’re headed into the next chapter in your life.  What do you want it to look like?

It’s time to plan.  You don’t need to have all of the answers.  Even brainstorming ideas on to paper is a step in that direction.

If you find yourself getting angry and frustrated, where is it happening?  Maybe you need to reset your boundaries.

If you find yourself having especially vivid dreams or even just more dreams than usual, write them down.  Start a dream journal.  They might be telling you something.

Are you seeing signs and synchronicities?  Maybe you’re in alignment with your path and it’s time to start expanding your vision.

Planting seeds in your life can take many different forms.  When you plant seeds in your garden, you must water it and care for it after it’s been placed in the ground.  You must do the same thing with your dreams for this next chapter.

You can be a person who stands in their truth and is empowered by their life.  You can do this.  Your life can be what you’ve always wanted it to be.  Think outside the box.

Frustrations can tell us where we’re off course.  I’ve had a few of them recently.  In my case, I’m doing too much.  I know it and so do those around me.  I need to cut down what I’m doing on a regular basis.  Easier said than done though.  Can I delegate tasks to someone else?  Is it temporary?  Are any of my tasks something that I can just check off a list once they’re completed?  The answers are all yes.  These are mainly short-term issues.

What about my long-term vision?  What do I want my life to look like?  I’m sure you have ideas for your own life.  Write them down.  Then start to cultivate them and care for them.  You’ll be amazed at what you come up with.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

What makes an individual beautiful?  I can’t answer that question for you.  Only you can answer.  Beauty is different for every individual.

Our world is obsessed with outer beauty.  We all want to be considered attractive.  Growing up we idolize movie stars and models, who seem to be the epitome of beauty and success.  They seem to have it all, looks and money, but what if beauty is something else?  What if doing the inside work is just as important as the outside.

We spend so much time making sure that our hair and makeup look perfect before we leave the house.  You’re not alone, I’m right there with you!  There are many times where I haven’t left the house without my make-up on, especially before the pandemic.  Since the pandemic began there are many days where I don’t wear make-up and I throw my hair up into a bun.  There are other things to do and it just seems to get in the way.  It’s not that there is no longer a concern about this, but it isn’t the only thing that seems to matter.  I still do the routine a lot of days and probably will do it more often in the future, post masks, but I’ve been focused on what’s going on in the inside.

The pandemic has presented us with an opportunity.  The chance to let our inner light shine.  To move past our past and traumas to let our power out.  We should strive to be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

Don’t forget about it!  It’s just as important, if not more so.  Your inner light creates confidence and self-esteem that enhances your outer beauty.

Have you paid attention to your inner beauty?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Hey! It’s Dark in Here!

Does it ever feel to you like there is a battle of the light and the dark?  Were you ever scared of the dark as a child?  As adults, we’re often scared of the darkness that surrounds us, but the key to the darkness is to shine a light on it.

Shining a light on the darkness can be terrifying.  Who wants to look at something dark and negative?  But when you do, it loses its power.  You don’t want to explore your shame, your guilt, your grief, or your fears because of what it could tell you.  It’s hard to go to those dark places and reveal the parts of ourselves that we never want to be seen.  But you know that if you don’t, the darkness wins!  The only way to defeat the dark is to speak it aloud.  When you do, it slowly loses its power.

You want to have things like love and joy in your life, right?  You don’t want to be swamped by the darkest feelings that we can experience as human beings.

If given the choice, choose the light.  If you’re in the dark, find a way out.  Empowerment is all about finding a way out of the dark into the light.

You might believe that darkness is all around us and that may seem to be the case, but it doesn’t have to be.  You can be a beacon of light shining for the rest of the world to see.

You can bring your past from the depths to the light where it can have little impact on you anymore.  You don’t have to live in the dark.  You can step into the light.  When it feels like the darkness is getting close again, take action, and step back into the light.

All of this is easier said than done, especially in the beginning.  The first step is always the hardest.  You are here to have an experience and learn something about yourself.  You’re stronger than you think.  You can step into the light.

What darkness do you wish to release from your life?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

I’m So Tired

Have you been finding it hard to get up in the morning?  Or you could be finding yourself thinking, I’m so tired of this story.  Or maybe you’re literally falling asleep.

The energy of what you’ve been doing that may no longer work for you is starting to wear you down.  It’s time for something new and different, but sometimes you don’t know how to get there or are afraid to try.
Maybe you’ve noticed that you’ve run this movie before, and you can change the ending this time.  It’s an old story that you just want to stop.  You didn’t like the film the last time it was on and you certainly don’t like it now.

The universe is trying to get your attention.  You can change.  You can have a different ending.  You can shift your journey to a new path.  You’re being reminded that this story no longer works for you.  But how do you change the script?

It’s challenging when we’re right in the middle of the story to see our options.  We don’t like it, but what else can we do?  Sometimes you just must leap into alternative storylines.  Give it a try!  Maybe it will work.  Maybe it won’t, but you don’t know if you don’t at least try.

Maybe you’ve been doubting your intuition, and something happens that you can’t ignore.  It feels right, but you believe it can’t be right.  It just can’t be.  Ask someone else what they think.  You could totally surprise yourself.  You don’t know if you don’t ask.

One of my teachers said to respond to life’s questions with, “I don’t know”.  Our patterns can become a part of us, where we think we know what will happen.  When you learn what someone else thinks, you could be completely surprised by the response.

Being tired is an indicator.  It’s time to let go.  Say you don’t know want to see what happens.  Yes, giving up control can be terrifying at first, but after some time it can be liberating.  Try something different, even if it’s taking a different route to the grocery store.  See what happens.

What are you tired about?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.
