Give It A Go

Are you afraid to try something new or even something that you did a long time ago?  Sometimes you have to be brave to try either one.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the term bravery is “the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty.”  While bravery may often show up in times of war, it can just as easily be used to define a person that’s willing to face their fears.

Facing your fears doesn’t just mean running into a burning building either.  It could be something that’s held you back for months or years.   It could be as simple as trying something.

As a child, I was never a great roller skater, but I could roller skate.  However, I haven’t been roller skating in at least 20 years.  I decided recently I was going to try.  I didn’t even know if I’d be able to stand up.  I bought a helmet and put on the roller skates.  Surprise, I could stand up!  Moving around is a different story.  I do great skating on the grass, but the cement is trickier.  My niece and nephew took my hand to help.  At the end of a half-hour on skates, I decided that I should purchase some pads.  It would have been so easy to criticize myself.  I used to be able to do this and now I can’t.  But I decided to applaud myself for trying and once my pads I will try again.

Maybe for you, it's not roller skates, but the story still applies.  Did you try?  If you did, it takes bravery to face rejection or getting hurt to try.  You don’t know unless you try.  Don’t lash out at yourself because it wasn’t perfect, or you lost ground.  It rarely is.  The point is what did you do that you might have otherwise.

If you tried, you were brave.  If you didn’t, there’s always tomorrow.  There are days where you’re going to get stuck in your head.  That’s ok.  You might have to work towards it.  That’s ok too.

Nobody says that you must accomplish everything today.  It can be a progression towards your goal.  The question is did you try?

Why Am I Alone?

Why are you alone?  It would be nice if there was a simple answer or even an answer.  You could be all by yourself or in a room filled with people and still feel alone.  These days you’re not alone in feeling that way.  There are many just like you.  The question becomes how to resolve it.  Again, there are no easy answers.  Feelings can be as powerful as anything that is experienced.

It's a feeling that you have to search within you to resolve.  Ask yourself why do I feel this way?  How often do I feel this way?  Maybe you experience it for a moment or it's ongoing.

You never expected to end up here.  You can be single or married.  It doesn’t matter.  You must look at yourself for the answers.  It would be so much easier to blame it on someone else or have someone else solve it for you.  It’s a method that has its uses but is never a long-term solution.

Sometimes you must explore the darkness and it must be done alone.  No one else can do it for you.

It can be difficult to believe there’s a reason for you feeling this way, but there’s an answer.  Maybe it’s a belief that you have.  Maybe you’re afraid.

There are all emotions that you can start to work with.  You must have a little bit of courage and take a leap of faith.  If it’s a fear, the only way to overcome it is through it.  If it’s a belief, that takes more effort.

You don’t have to feel alone.  There’s a world of people out there.  Your best friend could be right around the corner.

But I Don’t Want It to End!

Endings can be complicated and complex.  You may want something to end, but there can be emotions involved that you’re not ready to deal with yet.

Life comes in cycles.  There’s always a beginning, middle, and end.  But like a circle, for something new to start, you must release something that doesn’t.

For the new to begin, you may have to confront a fear that’s held you back for years.  You may have to speak it aloud.  Speaking what you want may be one of the hardest to do.  There’s always the chance that someone can say no.  If you have trouble just speaking it aloud, the response of no can be a blow that stops you in your tracks.  The challenging part of no can be a no for now.  But the no could signify an ending of sorts.  It could be the end of a dream and the beginning of something new.

You have faced challenges, many of which you wished would end, but didn’t.  You ready to start something new but needed to address something else first.

There is a transition that happens between endings and beginnings.  One that can often seem seamless.  One day the world seems one way and the next it's completely changed.  In March 2020, for so many, an old way of doing things ended and a new began.

It can be difficult to determine what keeps you from ending something, but there’s typically an element of fear involved.  Facing your fears may be one of the hardest things you do.  Others may surround you and comfort you on your journey, but they can’t live life for you.  You’re the only one who can do it.

For most obstacles in life, there’s no doubt that endings can be one of the hardest, but there can often be a gift on the other side.  Remember to tell yourself, that everything you want is on the other side of fear.

Once Upon A Dream

I’m sure you have hopes and wishes.  It’s a part of what makes you the person you are.  You want to achieve something.  You want to attain something.  You want to do something.

The last year has been a challenge for those hopes and wishes.  Many of them were put on hold.  Some fell apart and others are still coming to light.

2020 was difficult for so many reasons, but so many lost hope.  This isn’t the time to lose hope, or to forget to dream.  That’s not to say that the protocols made to keep you safe aren’t tiresome and there’s a desire to one day not have to wear a mask for long periods of time, but we’re on the precipice of something being ready to come to light.  It many not come for another 6 months.  But in the grand scheme of things 6 months is nothing.  You can do this.

In the meantime, remember to wish.  Create what you want the next phase of your life to look like.  This is the time when you can plant the seeds.  You can do the work to get yourself ready for the new part of your life.

It’s coming, but the work comes first.  Everything happens in cycles.  You need to have the idea.  Then you research the idea.  Make a decision and execute.  Wishes are the same way.  You decide what your wish is.  See whether it’s plausible.  Make a decision as to whether it’s achievable and then you go for it or start over.

It's spring here in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s time to plant the seeds.  Come up with the ideas that you might want to bring to light.

You’re probably at different places in your dreams.  Some could be in the execution phase, while others are coming to light.  There’s nothing wrong with taking time out of your day to dream.  What do you want the next phase of your life to look like?  It can be a more complicated question then one might think.

You may need to explore the depths of yourself.  You may need to discover what’s gone wrong in the past or maybe you dive all in and jump into the deep end.  The choice is yours, but it’s time to dream.

What are your wishes? Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Out of Balance

Is your life out of balance?  Most likely the answer is yes.  You live in a society that is based on achievement and how much you can do in a day.

You’re taught from an early age that you have to make sacrifices.  Life isn’t always easy.  When things come to you easily, you tend to discount them.  Why do you do this?  It could be for several reasons.  But that most likely is fear.  Fear of what the quiet will tell you.  Fear of not having enough.  Fear of standing out because you’re not doing what everyone else does.  Fear of looking stupid.

I tend to pack my days full.  I have classes to attend, books to read, work to do.  I’m working to improve my mind and create a new way of life for myself.  It will only be temporary, but so far that has never been the case.  In one of my astrology classes, I learned that a shadow side for me is to do, do, do.  Boy did that one hit home.  That’s exactly what I do.  Relaxation and I have never had a good relationship.  Even when I do take time to “relax”, it includes reading or watching television.  I should be outside!  I feel better when I do, but life gets in the way.

Life balance isn’t easy.  It takes work.  It’s not what’s expected of you.  If you decide to not follow the “normal” path, you will probably get some pushback whether it be from yourself or those around you.

It’s easy to say that I should do this, but it can be hard to implement.  Your life is craving balance, and you’re not alone.  Mine is too.  It’s time to stop doing, doing, doing, and go, go, go, and just be.  What that looks like for you or me, I can’t tell you.  My first step is to say that I need more balance in my life.  That could mean that you take that walk-in nature or maybe you do something for fun, like just dance for no reason at all.

It's time to achieve more balance. Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

What Lights You Up?

Awakenings are typically challenging and that’s exactly what you’ve been going through.  An awakening to what?  It’s different to everyone.

You’re being shown a different way to life.  What do you value?  Who are you?  Each of these are valid questions that can change over the course of time.  You’re meant to shift and evolve as a person.

You came into this life with certain traits and characteristics, but even those have a light side and a shadow side.  Part of your mission is the life is to step out of the shadows and into the light.

Just you as a person, a business can change and evolve.  When I first started my business almost 2 years ago now, I have one set of skills and I’m working on evolving some of my lesser formed skills.  The most prevalent being astrology.  I’ve always loved astrology, but couldn’t figure out how to put the pieces together.  I’ve taken several courses, but this week the how was revealed to me.

Part of coaching is accountability.  You’re my accountability over the new few months. I’m going to being doing practice astrology charts for you, if you’re interested.  The only way for me to learn is to do.  If you’re interested in being on my list in June or July, hit reply and let me know.

Like me, you’ve been learning something and shifting it into something different.  You’re meant to evolve.  You’re sent here to learn.  Life would be boring if you never learned anything new.

Evolution is a natural part of life.  You’re not meant to be the same.  You’re meant to travel a path.  That path will have a fork in the road that can go different ways.  The path you choose is yours.  You’re allowed to make different choices now, then you would’ve in the past.  It’s a natural progression.

Where do you want to go?  Who do you want to evolve into?  They’re important questions for you to ask yourself.  These questions matter.  The answers will help to shape your future.

What evolution do you want to make?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Surrender

One of the most challenging things you might ever do is to learn to surrender.  You have a tendency to want to control.  To control how something happens.  Eek!  You get an idea in your head.  You may even try to force it to happen in the way you’ve seen.  But unfortunately, that’s not how things work.  You’re meant to do some work to bring that something to fruition, but the unfolding isn’t up to you. What a bummer!  You can do, do, do all you want, and somethings just won’t happen no matter what you do.   It could be you’re trying too hard or not hard enough.  Like that makes any sense.

There’s a balance that you need to learn to walk.  The only thing you can control is yourself.  You can’t force someone else to change, no matter how much you want to.  You can’t control how someone else feels.  You can’t make something happen when you want it to.  It would be easier if it didn’t.

There’s a plan for you.  Things in your life don’t always operate on your timetable.  You need to learn to surrender.  Now you may be thinking how do I do that?  Each person is a little different.  Ultimately like anything else the more you work on yourself, the more things will start to fall into place, and you won’t want to control the outcome anymore.

Surrendering is a practice.  It’s a place within yourself that is confident.  One that knows that things will happen as they’re meant to.  One day you may do well, the next might be more challenging.  The practice isn’t always easy.  It’s something that you work towards.  You learn to work through your fears, your desires, and your pride to open up and allow courage to enter your life.

Have the courage to surrender to your dreams.  Work on yourself.  Feel comfortable within yourself.  What you want will come, it may not be in the package you envisioned or happen how you would like, but it will come if you can step back and surrender.

Have You Ever?

Have you ever been angry or upset about something that you shouldn’t have been?  Most likely it isn’t about this event at all, but a past event.  It could even be one that you remember nothing about.

This happens all the time. It’s nothing to be worried about.  You’re not losing your mind, but it’s a moment to think.  Why do you feel this way?  It’s a moment to heal.

There is something in your life that needs to be healed.  I don’t care who you are.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve done healing work in the past.  There’s always something within the needs to be healed.

With Mercury still in retrograde, it’s a perfect time to look at what people have said to you in the past.  How did you interpret it?  Did it impact you?  If it comes to mind, you’re probably ready to let it go.

To grow and expand as a person and to live a happier, more empowered life, you need to release something from the past.

The next question is typically how.  That’s a little complicated because it depends.  Maybe you need to express your suppressed emotions.  You might need to talk with someone.  Your energy field may need some fine-tuning.  You could need to understand who you are as a person and why you’re here.  Only you can indicate the direction your healing will go in.  Only you can dictate where to begin.

A lot can happen in childhood.  It may be deeply engrained, but you have no memory of it.  Energy work can be especially helpful in these situations.  This was where I started.  My earliest memory is at the age of 6, but a lot happened to me from the time I was born until 6.  My body experienced trauma from having seizures.  The medical testing to determine what was happening.  The trials and errors that are part of the process.  It may be a good thing, but none of those events are part of my memory.  I had to find a way to relieve the trauma.  That’s where energy work came in.  Then more traditional therapeutic processes for the memories that I did have.

Memories are tricky.  They are a part of you whether you believe it or not.  They make up who you are.  It’s time to heal some of those past memories.

What are you looking to heal?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Huh?

What did you say?  Misunderstandings seem to be the name of the game during Mercury Retrograde.  Some have more difficulties during retrograde periods than others, but misunderstandings are everywhere.

Have you said something and then gone, that’s not what I meant!  It happens all too often.  People are especially sensitive right now.  They may feel like lashing out rather than taking an opportunity to breathe and think through how they wish to react.

It can be especially tricky for those of us on the other end.  How do you want to respond?  Do you want to be a better person?

That doesn’t mean that you have to allow people to walk all over you.  It does mean that you need to make sure to breathe and think through your responses.  Respond to others from your highest place.  Don’t sink to their level.  Respond true to who you are.

The world is divisive right now, but you don’t need to follow down that path.  Speak from a place that is for the highest and best good for you.  It can be challenging to not immediately respond, but sometimes it’s best for all to think about your response.

Misunderstandings are bound to happen, but you can try to limit them as much as possible.  When things don’t go as planned, change course or apologize.

You can always try again.  You have an opportunity to think about what’s happening in your life.  You can do it differently.  Just because it’s always been that way doesn’t mean it can’t be different going forward.

Misunderstandings will happen, but how do you respond?  That’s where the lesson is.

How do you respond to misunderstandings?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

It’s Time To…

What do you want 2021 to look like?  A lot of the structures in your life were demolished in 2020.  You can build something new.  Something different.  Are you ready?

It’s so easy to get stuck in the mindset of poor me.  Things never seem to work out for me.  But you don’t have to live there.  You can create something new.  Something different.  You can build a life that you love.

Maybe you’ll be one of the fortunate ones and with a snap of your fingers, it will be different.  But let me tell you a secret, it rarely happens that way.  You must process your old life first.  How did you end up where you are?  It’s not an easy process.  There’s a reason that people stay the way they are.  It requires work and effort.  How bad do you want it?

Are you willing to take the leap?  Are you willing to put in the work?  It would be easier if things did just magically happen.  You must demonstrate how badly you want it.

The lessons that you’ve experienced have made you who you are.  You lived through them for a reason.  They’re part of your life’s journey, but you don’t have to stay there.

We can get guidance from our intuition, oracle/tarot cards, astrology, numerology, etc., but ultimately you have the final say over how your life turns out. It’s yours to live as you wish.  So, what are you going to do?

Every change starts with a small step.  You can do this if you want to.

It’s never easy to move past your fear or swallow your pride, but there’s so much joy on the other side knowing that you did something that terrified you and it turned out ok.

A leap of faith is challenging, but you must have hope.  Be optimistic that your world can be better.  It can be what you want it to be, the effort is up to you.

Do you ever have a thought that doesn’t leave?  A thought that says you should do this.  Start there.  You don’t have to change everything overnight.  Work through the pain and see what lies on the other side on your timetable.

What effort are you willing to put into changing your life?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.
