Darkest Before the Dawn

It’s almost here!  Time with family and friends.  Have you got everything checked off your list?  Before joy and merriment can be felt though some energies are coming up that could make you think twice.

Venus is Scorpio Opposes Uranus in Taurus on December 21 at 2:04 am EST.  Venus in Scorpio is passionate and deep feeling, while Uranus in Taurus wants to revolutionize and grow.  It’s also a fixed energy, so it doesn’t want anything to change, but change is one of the few things in this life that we can count on.  Maybe it’s time to think again and consider making a change.

The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21 at 10:27 pm EST.  It’s time for the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, but what comes next?  A little bit more daylight.  The Sun in Capricorn is ready to get to work.  Maybe it’s time to clean out some things and start making room for the new.  For the new to come in, there has to be space.  Make some space this month.

The Sun in Capricorn Conjuncts Mercury in Capricorn on December 22 at 1:54 pm EST.  Just after the Winter Solstice, the Sun and Mercury have a conversation about the path to take and work on their goals.  Mercury is retrograding, so it’s time to look back over something that you meant to do, but haven’t or look at the reminders that you’re receiving of the past.  There are still messages there for you.

Mercury retrogrades back into the sign of Sagittarius on December 23 at 1:18 am. Just when Mercury was getting ready to do some more organized communication, it’s time to back up and have our communication become a little bit fierier.  Mercury in Sagittarius may like to have some philosophical conversations, but the other person has opinions too and they may not align.

What is the darkness making you look at twice?  Let me know.  Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment?

Time for Gratitude

Here in the United States, it’s time for Thanksgiving and for you to give thanks and gratitude for what you have in life.  If the last few years have taught you anything it’s the world can change seemingly overnight from what you’ve always known to something that you don’t quite recognize.  Maybe you have been one of many that have been pushed to your breaking point.  This is a week, where the universe should let off the pedal just a little bit and give you some space to be grateful for the good things in your life.

The planet of Jupiter is prominent in the sky right now. Firstly, Jupiter rules the sign of Sagittarius. The sun moves into Sagittarius season on November 22 at 3:20 am, but before the sun steps into Sagittarius, Mercury and Venus have a conjunction in Sagittarius on November 21 at 5:55 pm.  And then Jupiter will station direct on November 23 at 6:02 pm.  Jupiter is currently in the sign of Pisces which it also rules.

With Jupiter ruling the sky, gratitude will likely take center stage.  It’s a time for hope and optimism to take its place.  For me, Thanksgiving has been always been the kickoff to the holiday season.  Once Thanksgiving is over, I decorate for Christmas and start to feel the light that enters the world.  Driving home at night and seeing the lights and decorations from your neighbors’ homes adds to the festivities.  It can help you forget your troubles for a few moments, days, or weeks and uplift your life.  This is part of what Sagittarius season is about.

So take some time this week to give thanks for where you are and what you have.  With all of the Scorpio energy in the sky in the last few weeks, we have seen the cycles of life.  The births and deaths.  You can’t experience the highs without the lows or joy without grief.  You are alive!  In today’s world, it’s so easy to get trapped in the space of what you do and don’t have instead of taking the time to be grateful for what you have and what you love.

Time For Work

Summer is drawing to a close.  Kids will be going back to school and life will settle into a new routine as the Sun moves into Virgo on August 22 at 11:16 pm.

It’s time to get to work.  You’ve been receiving visions and clarity and now the Sun wants to shine a light on the work that needs to be accomplished.  It’s time to become practical and analytical and begin to take the next steps.

How can you accomplish the tasks ahead of you?  What do you need to do?  Make a list.  Virgos love a to-do list.  Start working your way through what needs to be done for you to work on your goals.

Also, there is a second sign change this week as Mercury will enter Libra on August 25 at 9:03 pm.  Mercury will be looking for peace, love, and harmony.  It wants things to be fair and diplomatic.  More of the element of air will again enter the atmosphere and help people speak cooperatively.

The week will close out with two Squares on August 27.  One is between Venus in Leo and Uranus in Taurus at 12:34 am and the second is between the Sun in Virgo Square Mars in Gemini at 4:11 pm.  Uranus in Taurus has been shaking up your world and with it Squaring Venus in Leo, it's looking to shake up how you love and connect you with your heart.  The Sun squaring Mars is shining a light on how you take action.  Are you moving forward?

Feel the Feelings

It’s time to get ready to feel.  Feelings that you may not even have known that you had might emerge and take you by surprise.  On March 13, the Moon in Cancer is going to be in Opposition to Pluto in Capricorn.  Have you been working through your shadow?  If you haven’t there could be some surprises in store for you.

Pluto wants us to explore the dark side of life.  Exploring the dark side is how you can start to live a life filled with more joy and happiness.  You can’t have the light without the dark.  The Moon in Cancer is all about exploring what you feel.  There could be some surprises ahead for you.

Also, on March 13, there is a conjunction between the Sun, Jupiter, and Neptune all in Pisces.  The Sun is shining a light on your dreams.  What do you want your life to look like?  This is your opportunity to explore and see what that dream might look like.  Do you accept the opportunity?  Later in the week on March 17, the Moon in Virgo is going to be in Opposition to Jupiter and Neptune.  How do you feel about it?  Do you have a plan?  Is there anything that you haven’t thought of yet?

You’re being asked to look at life differently than you have in the past.  There’s always an emotional component to life.  Sometimes you don’t stop to explore those feelings, but they’re still there just waiting for you to take the time to process and ask how does it feel?  If you never stop to feel, eventually your emotions will sneak up on you and surprise you.  Emotions want to be felt one way or the other.  If you’re not comfortable with emotions, rest assured that you aren’t alone, you can try and experience them in a controlled way.  This doesn’t mean that they still might not sneak up on you, but the disruption to your life might be lessened.  You can always watch movies or listen to music that will make you feel.

Feel everything that you need to feel this week.  It’s more important than you might realize.

What are you feeling?  Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.

Christmas, the Season Of…

What does Christmas make you think of? Is it the season of magic or do you feel lonely? Christmas can make you feel either one, but it is a time of opportunity where anything is possible if you allow yourself to believe in magic.

Magic doesn’t make sense and it’s not supposed to.  It’s supposed to just happen, like synchronicity or miracles.  No matter how hard you try to force something to happen, it just unfolds the way that it’s meant to.  You can have the best-laid plans, and something can throw everything off track, you can’t plan for it.

Christmas is the season of light and giving. The season of Santa. You may know all about Santa, but the mythology of Santa Claus encompasses the importance of magic. The idea that one man can fly around the world and deliver presents to all the children in the world. All myths have an origin. Christmas didn’t begin as a season of commercialism, but one of giving to our fellow man.  Saint Nicholas, who some say is the originator of the traditions associated with Santa Claus, is said to have given away all his material possessions and wealth. He traveled around, helping the sick and the poor. The Christian version of Christmas is the day of Jesus Christ’s birth. Another story that focuses on the poor. A pregnant woman and a man who were looking for a place to stay to deliver a child. He is born in a stable because there wasn’t room for them in the inn.  Both origin stories focus on gifts to the poor.

Whether or not these origin stories involve supernatural forces will never be known and you don’t have to know.  It is the essence of the season that’s important.  The belief that anything can happen. The world can change from the actions of one person, and you might not even know it at the time. Make a little room for the magic this holiday season. Allow the essence of the season to remain with you this week whether you’re surrounded by loved ones or due to other reasons are spending some time alone.  The magic is what’s important.
