It’s A Mistake!

I’m sure you’ve made a mistake.  The issue isn’t that you’ve made a mistake, but how have you dealt with it? Have you tried to fix the mistake, or do you just keep plowing ahead as though you haven’t made one? It could depend on the mistake.

This time of year, is perfect for trying to fix mistakes of the past or for forgiveness, whether it be to forgive yourself or others.  You may beat yourself up because you didn’t know something.  It’s ok that you didn’t know, the question is what do you do now that you know?

There are things that you’ve learned that you had no way of knowing.  The past 18 months have been all about experiencing life in a way that you and no one else could have predicted. The life before March 2020 is gone and you can’t go back, but you can move forward and forgive for what you didn’t know.

Fear can stop you from living the life that you’ve dreamed.  The fear of being wrong can cause you to make mistakes. The idea that you might not be good enough to experience that dream is something that is real. After doing a lot of soul searching, you might start to feel differently. You wish that you’d known this information back before you made these choices.  You can choose again. I’m not talking about using a time machine, but you can do today what you didn’t do yesterday.  By starting to act differently, you can begin to change the mistakes of your past.

You do deserve to have the life that you’ve dreamed of.  You don’t have to carry the baggage of your past with you everywhere you go.  You can let it go. It doesn’t have to control you the way it always has.   This is a time for a new beginning.

What’s Next?

Have you ever been so busy looking at the next step that you miss what’s in front of you?  You have your heart so set on a dream that you miss a different path right in front of you.

The past few months you’ve been triggered to examine the past, and the time for moving forward is finally here, but don’t get too far ahead of yourself.  There’s a tendency to look forward.  To figure out what you need to do next, and you miss the point.

Life is meant to be lived now.  Not in the past and not in the future, but now.  It’s a simple concept that’s often missed.  You’re not alone in that.

The present moment is the only place from which you can act.  That you can decide.  The present is where you live.

There’s no harm in dreaming, it’s encouraged, but don’t let the dream steal from the now.

There’s always work to be done, but it’s encouraged to take a time out.  Look at what you’ve accomplished.  Where you are right now.  Appreciate it.  Be grateful for what you’ve been given.  It can all change in the blink of an eye.  Things could shift for the better or the worse.

You want to know where you’re headed.  That you’re not wasting your time.  You can’t control how your life turns out.  You can manifest and dream and act, but there comes a point where you need to have a little faith and gratitude.  Life can be so much better than you’ve envisioned, but you have to allow it to be.  Sometimes the only way is to be in the moment.  Don’t be so committed to one path that you miss opportunities to get where you want.

Between Worlds

Do you know what the future looks like?  If you do, aren’t you lucky!  If not, join the club.  You may have ideas.  You may have hopes and dreams, but it’s not certain until it lands in the present.

There are times where you so badly want something to happen, that you don’t live in the present moment.  You live for creating the future.  That perspective may eventually take you where you want to go, but it can also be emotionally draining.  You’re always seeking and searching rather than being able to accept life for what it is.

The same can be said if you’re a person that lives in the past.  You may believe the best days of your life are behind you.  You miss what was instead of what is.

Living in the present can be a challenge.  Especially for those who are trying to create a better you.  The trials of life are hard.  You so desperately want to be happy and there isn’t a lot of happiness in the world.

Last year the rug was pulled out from under you, and nothing is the same.  It’s not meant to.  You’re in the rebuilding stage.  You’re creating something new, and unfortunately, it doesn’t happen overnight.  You’re going to stumble, and you may even fail along the way.

Life’s journey is never easy and it’s the in-between areas of life where you learn the most about yourself and others.

For so much of life, the in-between areas are challenging and difficult, but there’s value.  Take the in-between area for what it is.  The area where a puzzle is started.  You start putting the pieces together and one day it will be completed.

For now, it may be messy and unknown, but there’s something there to be explored.  What in-between areas of life are you exploring?   Let me know. Do you want to know more, click here to book a discovery session or an appointment.
