Reflection and Wisdom

The month of March is full of planets changing signs.  Saturn is moving into Pisces on March 7 at 8:35 am.  Chapters are coming to a close.  Change is on its way or may already be here.  You don’t always have a say in the changes that are going to happen, but if you could, what would you do?

Saturn is a planet of Commitment, Discipline, and Maturity, while Pisces is a sign of compassion, empathy, and spirituality.  Saturn is moving out of its rulership into the ocean, where it will be uncomfortable.  Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and can encompass the lessons of all of the previous signs.  So what have you been doing since April 7, 1996, when Saturn last moved out of Pisces?  This could give you some clues as to your focus.

Its important as chapters come to a close to take time to reflect and examine what you’ve learned.  My family experienced a death last week.  An actual ending to a life.  What does life now look like for those left behind?  What did she teach us while she was here?  Those answers will come soon enough, but for now, it’s important to experience grief so that we can begin to move through the map of consciousness (Shame, Guilt, Apathy, Grief, Fear, Desire, Anger, Pride, Courage, Neutrality, Willingness, Acceptance, Reason, Love, Joy, Peace, Enlightenment).

It would be nice to say that you can skip over the pain in life, but if you’re truly living, it’s impossible.  It’s important to love and laugh.  Get in touch with your Pisces side and have some compassion for yourself and empathy for those around you.  Endings are challenging, but they also contain wisdom that can help move you forward into the next chapter.  If you need to, take some time to reflect on the ending.  Change is almost here.

Reflection

I hope you have a great holiday season!  The universe is giving you the gift of reflection this week.  The ability to reflect on the year that has been 2022 and what you hope to be in 2023.

Mercury goes retrograde in the sign of Capricorn on December 29 at 4:32 am and is in retrograde through January 18.  You may already be feeling the impact of Mercury stationing going retrograde.  It tends to start having an effect a couple of weeks before it’s the official station.  Shortly after Mercury stations retrograde it has a meeting (conjunction) with Venus in Capricorn at 8:58 am.  These are the only two planetary meetings this week, everything else is based on the moon which changes every 2 or so days.

As we close out the year 2022, Mercury, Mars, and Uranus will still be retrograde.  These planets are emphasizing the need for reflection as the year closes out.  The sign of Capricorn has provided you with many structural changes in your life over the last few years and Pluto is nearing the end of its cycle through the sign of Capricorn, which will start the shift into Aquarius in 2023.  What have you built since 2009?  Is it structurally sound or does it still need some changes?

As humans, we have a tendency to spend a lot of time in the past and the future and not as much time as we should in the present moment, but in this case, the universe wants you to look back and remember.  Look at where you were and how far you’ve come.  Looking back may sometimes be painful, but it doesn’t have to be.  It could be an opportunity to remember where you’ve come from and who you are.  You’re not the same person that you were at the start of 2022.  You change, you move on.  It’s easy to think of change as a bad thing, but it doesn’t have to be, it can just be change.  Life would be boring if it was the same thing every day.

You were sent here to learn.  Winston Churchill paraphrased that those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it.  Don’t be one of those people.  Take this week and look back on your history and be ready to move into 2023 with a clean slate.

Time for Balance

The Sun will be entering the sign of Libra on September 22 at 9:04 pm.  It’s time to reflect inwards and find balance as the seasons change.

The Autumn Equinox falls on the day when the Sun moves into Libra.  It is also the point where sunrise and sunset are separated by exactly 12 hours.  Daylight will start to decrease and you will begin preparing for the winter months here in the northern hemisphere.  In times past, it was a time to reflect on the harvest and what you had accomplished.  What did you still need to do before the cold set in?  Your perspective is about to change.  It will no longer be a time of planting and harvesting, but hibernating.  Animals still do it today.  You would determine what you needed to survive during the winter.  You spent the majority of the year preparing for this upcoming season.  You still have time to prepare.

Times have changed.  Our food source no longer follows the same models that it once did, but these ancient systems can provide you with clues for what you will begin to experience. A time for reflection.  What do you still need to modify so that you can bring more balance into your life?  Libra is all about relationships as well.  Are your relationships in balance?  What can you do to bring more peace, love, and harmony into your world?   The time to explore the darkness of the winter months is coming, but for now, you still have time to initiate changes and modify what you’ve been working on.  What do you still need to do to accomplish your goals?

Mercury is still going retrograde in Libra.  Mercury in Libra will be opposing Jupiter in Aries on September 18 at 6:34 pm and will be Conjunct the Sun in Libra on September 23 at 2:50 am, a few hours after the Sun moves into Libra.  Venusian values will take center stage and ask us to look at what we love.  Do you love the direction that you’re headed in?  If not, this is the time to learn a new perspective and possibly make a change.

You need balance in order to move forward in life.  Life can’t be all work, no play, or all play and no work.  There are two sides to every coin.  If your life is too skewed in one direction, this is the time to right the ship and find balance.
